Nadia and Steph have done a fabulous job with this course! I have learnt a lot. The course had a wonderful mix of education, the science and dietetic strategies to use in practice. I am much more confident in being able to support people with Endometriosis. There is nothing like this course out there - I'm glad there is now. It's going to help the lives of so many more clients.

Steph and Nadia are very knowledgeable in the area of endometriosis. I have a passion for women's health and lived experience with endo. This course joined the dots for me, and open my eyes to other areas that could be investigated to relieve symptoms or pain, including regular meals, GI issues and pelvic floor support. Thank you!

Why we think this training is so important..
Dietitians who work with people with periods need to have the skills and knowledge to support people with endo. We know that’s a big statement, but let us share some astounding facts to back it up:
Endometriosis is estimated to impact 1 in 7 (14%) of people with periods (AIHW 2023). Given that diabetes impacts 1 in 20 and there are many more dietitians in the diabetes space, it’s clear that there is a significant lack of dietitians out there to support people with endo!
It takes an average of 6.5 years from onset of symptoms to diagnosis. We can all play a role in helping people get they support they deserve sooner.
80-90% of people with endo have gut symptoms (Ek et al., 2014) making them 3 x more likely to be diagnosed with IBS (Nabi et al., 2022).
Around 30-50% of people with endometriosis experience fertility challenges (Verkauf, 1987).
And last but not least, 44% of people with endo make dietary changes and it’s rated as the 3rd most effective self-management strategy for pain behind heat and cannibis (Armour et al. 2019). Nutrition has so much potential for improving symptoms but there is so little support out there for the people who want it.
